CENTRE MANAGER

WHO WE ARE

Cluain Training & Enterprise Centre aims to provide training and
support to enable people with disabilities (Physical, Intellectual,
ASD) Mental Health and Acquired brain injuries in South Tipperary to
improve their quality of life through living, working and integrating
within the community to their full potential.

Programmes include: Rehabilitative Training; Vocational training -
Employability Skills (ETB funded); Supportive Work Services; XRT and
day services.
The Centre also operates several social enterprises that provide
training and work opportunities in a supportive real work environment
for participants including: a Restaurant; Meals for the Meals on
Wheels Service; Hairdressing Salon; Pottery Workshop; Horticultural
unit; outside Catering Service and DIY, all based in Clonmel, Co.
Tipperary.

ROLE

Reporting to the Chairperson of the Board of Directors we are looking
to recruit a Centre Manager on a Full Time basis to take overall
responsibility for the day to day operation of the Centre.

Assistant Manager, Heads of Programmes, and Key Workers.

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS,
EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

_Qualifications_

* • BA in Applied Social Studies or other relevant third level
qualification (minimum QQI level 7).
* • A full clean Irish/EU Driving Licence.

WORK EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED

* Minimum 5 years work experience at Manager or Assistant Manager
level in a Centre providing training and support to young persons
and/or vulnerable adults with rehabilitative or similar needs.
* •The person selected will be managing primarily a Disability
funded service and therefore there is a requirement for them to be
aware of and lead the service in line with the relevant polices
underpinning same including New Directions, Person Centred Planning,
Interim Standards for New Directions, to assist in guiding Continuous
Quality Improvement in the service and an emphasis on community
participation as outcomes for their service users, Advocacy etc.
* Prepare and deliver relevant data, reports and KPIs as required by
funders.
* The Centre also currently supports clients with a MH diagnosis and
is engaging with Mental Health services to continue this work.
* A high level of IT and administrative skills.
* •Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* •Demonstrated ability to handle challenging and sensitive
situations with tact, discretion, professionalism and sensitivity.
* Demonstrated ability to liaise with and work effectively as a
Leader of a diverse Team.
* Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, completing tasks in a
timely fashion to tight deadlines.
* •Demonstrated ability to organise own time effectively,
prioritising own workload and setting realistic timescales.
* Willingness and ability to adjust to multiple demands and shifting
priorities.
* •Understand and adhere to the highest standards of
confidentiality and professionalism.
* •Committed to supporting organisational development and change.
* •Ability to efficiently co-ordinate and monitor various
programmes to achieve the objectives set for each.
* •Manage Cluain in accordance with the financial and business
plans, strategies and budgets, and ensure that the services are
provided within the available resources and that the optimum use is
made of such resources.
* Prepare and deliver monthly Reports to the Board of Directors on
the Centre’s performance, e.g.Training, Financial,etc
* •Ability to engage effectively with all internal and external
Stakeholders i.e. Board of Directors, Funding Organisations,
Employability Ireland, Medical Professionals, direct Reports and
Service Users.
* Excellent knowledge and adherence to all Governance issues,
Employment Law, Health & Safety, Financial and Funding obligations.
